The tonal stripe is subtle enough to look classy but still adds a nice texture underfoot, and it's held up perfectly after three washes already. Threw it in the machine on a whim and it came out looking brand new, which is exactly what I need for a kitchen mat that sees constant traffic.
I was a little worried the navy would show every crumb, but the tonal stripe actually hides messes way better than my old plain mat. Tossed it in the wash after a spaghetti night and it came out looking brand new. Hand-loomed feel is noticeably sturdier underfoot than the cheap ones I've had.
