Asano Paper Moon – Fat

The soft glow from this little half-sphere is exactly what my nightstand was missing, and the thin rice paper gives off such a warm, gentle light instead of anything harsh. It took about two minutes to set up and instantly made the corner of my living room feel calmer.

The wire frame gives it just enough structure to feel sturdy, but the soft glow it casts is what sold me. It’s been on my nightstand for a week and I keep catching myself staring at it instead of my phone. Handmade quality really shows in the even paper texture.

The rice paper lets just enough warm light through that it feels like a tiny moon sitting on my nightstand. I love that it's handmade in Gifu — you can see the care in how evenly it glows.
